7 Reasons Why It’s Great to be An Artist Entrepreneur

I’m an artist entrepreneur mom – that is, an artist who turned into a mom, and then later become an art teacher who then transformed into an entrepreneur!  Sounds a lot?  Not really.  It’s a matter of finding a way and embracing your passions all together.

Being an artist may seem a mile different from being an entrepreneur, but I realized eventually that it’s like the perfect combination after all.  I channel my creativity, visualize and actualize it using a different medium in order to become a successful entrepreneur.

Being an artist and an entrepreneur at the same time allowed me to create a sustainable business and a lifestyle that is perfect for this work at home mom.  And guess what?  I’m loving every minute of it!

Here are the 7 reasons why it’s great to be an artist entrepreneur:

  1. You get to do what you love.

I love art.  And having the chance to embrace the artist in me and create an income at the same time suffice to say is a dream come true for me.

  1. You can work from home.

This is something a working mom can totally appreciate because speaking from experience, working and family can be a challenging thing to balance.

  1. You affect other people’s lives.

I’m passionate about helping others, artists like myself, but what’s good about this sustainable business is that I can also affect the lives of artisans in other parts of the world.

  1. You grow your business at your own pace.

You are basically your own boss, so you work when, where and how you want to.  You dictate the direction for which you want to take your business.

  1. You create awareness about something you’re passionate about.

You can direct your creativity not just towards making money but creating awareness as well on issues you are passionate about.

  1. You become part of global marketplace.

Finding the right platform, hard work and a lot of planning allows you to become part of a global marketplace.

  1. You make connections around the world.

As you build your network you create connections to people around the world without leaving the comfort of your home.  And who knows, one of these days, you may be traveling the world as well!
